Stability that impresses
In addition to design, aesthetics and sustainability, when developing our products, the focus is clearly on stability. Just beautiful and sustainable is no longer enough - products are needed that can withstand a wide variety of weather conditions.
Even for extreme weather conditions - lots of wind and snow, we offer solutions that can withstand wind peaks of 170km/h (hurricane) and snow loads of 200kg/m². Even more impressive - thanks to the hyperbolically curved structure made of LVL wood, immense loads are also possible: the pavilion can carry an impressive 10,000 kg.
Perfection of form inspired by nature
"Form follows nature" - true to this motto, we brought in what is probably the best co-architect: nature itself. The design of STROHBOID skilfully uses the natural conditions of the different building materials for itself.
The simple and at the same time striking, organically curved design of our outdoor rooms blends seamlessly into any scenery. The natural tones used and the building material wood also make it possible to allow authentic experiences in nature without clouding the impression of its pristine nature through human intervention.
Depending on the location and staging, our products have a wide range of effects - from the unobtrusive refuge to the stylish eye-catcher and create manifest symbioses between sustainability and aesthetics.
We build on sustainability
We see sustainability as more than just a trend. Rather, it is an indispensable necessity in all areas of life - and thus also in construction - so that the earth remains a species-rich, rich and habitable home for future generations. Because what many of us don't know: more than 30% of global CO2 emissions are emitted in the construction industry.
Precisely because sustainability is not just a buzzword at STROHBOID, we pay attention to the greatest possible climate efficiency from start to finish. This claim extends to the design as well as to the choice of materials used and their processing.
Sustainable raw material and manufacturing process
One of the most important raw materials in the production of our outdoor solutions: wood. We source our wood 100% regionally from Europe. The wood used binds more CO2 than is released during the manufacture of our products - this makes them climate-neutral.
Thanks to special manufacturing processes, the renewable raw material gains enormous stability, which even surpasses that of steel. In combination with the material-saving lightweight construction, it is thus possible to cover large areas with extremely little use of materials.
We plant trees
We are convinced that it is essential to give back to nature at least as much as we take from it. That's why we replant twice as many trees for every product produced. This reforestation is managed byClick a Treeconducted in Ghana.
Why Ghana? Because we not only plant new trees through this reforestation project, but also create long-term jobs locally, guarantee food security for the farmers and train young people. This enables us to contribute not only to ecological sustainability but also to social sustainability.
